Esprit de fleurs is an intriguing mix of ethereal and earthy and we are reminded of legends of angels visiting the cellars where cognac is aged and sampling the wares - the portion that evaporates is traditionally known as the “angels share”. We imagine that their softly rustling wings would smell something like this - a light dusting of fresh rose petals mingling with the deep wooden scent of the barrels. Utterly divine.
